Don’t Rock the Inbox is a newsletter about country music.

Marissa Moss and Natalie Weiner founded Don’t Rock The Inbox, in part, out of annoyance with the way that most national (and let’s be honest, Nashville) media covered — or didn’t — country music and Americana. Together, they wanted to create a space for all the different kinds of stories wrapped up in these genres — especially the stories that might not have clicky-enough headlines or recognizable-enough subjects to get an editor’s attention. Looking at the good, the bad, and the deeply ugly, Marissa and Natalie are fighting for a sharper critical discourse around this (and all) music that pushes the genre forward and outward. Inclusivity and creativity just sound better, at least to our ears.
