So envious. First Americanafest my wife and I have missed in years and we had a bit of a low burning sadness all week (although we did get to Hayes and the Heathens in Seattle which was awesome). Can't wait for next year. I really missed the show at the Bobby. What a great place to see music.
Really bummed I missed Americanafest this year, but glad y'all had fun. Pumped you got to finally see Wayne Graham too Natalie, and I agree that "Slept Alone" is one of their best tunes. Looking forward to seeing them at a couple Kentucky gigs later this year.
So glad you included Shelby Lynne. I’ve been a super-fan for 25 years and would have loved to have heard her talk with Allison. Her voice just wrecks me and I have obsessively watched her on You Tube many times. I’ve seen her live once and hope to again—wish I could be at the Ryman for her show tomorrow night.
Aaron Lee Tasjan really was great in a way that's hard to articulate except that he's clearly good at all the parts of making and performing music and he makes it fun.
Also, Rissi Palmer's "Seeds" is way, way more powerful live than it is on the record.
